Branches Book Club October Selection!

Please join us on Wednesday, October 24h at 2:00 PM for our next Branches Book Club meeting. This month we will be reading The Hunger by Alma Katsu

This book club is open to the public and focuses mainly on current best-selling fiction and (at times) non-fiction selections.  All meetings are held at the book store on the last Wednesday of each month beginning at 2:00 p.m. Book Club Members will enjoy special day-of meeting discounts, as well as a discount on the current month's Branches Book Club pick. Sierra Art Trails gives art enthusiasts the chance to see fine art and fine crafts in the making, and to purchase works directly from the people who create them. The show takes place in homes, studios, galleries, and businesses in more than a dozen communities in Eastern Madera and Mariposa Counties.  The show features artists and artisans working in a wide range of media including painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, fiber arts, woodcarving, ceramics, glass, and more!

The famous children’s book character in the striped shirt and black-rimmed specs is visiting 25 different local businesses throughout our community this July for the 6th annual Where's Waldo? scavenger hunt! Pick up a “Find Waldo Local” passport at Branches Books & Gifts and collect stamps when you find the well-hidden Waldo at any of the participating businesses. Those who spot him can win prizes, including stickers, book coupons, and more.

“Find Waldo Local” is a great summer vacation activity, and a wonderful way for residents to support local business and the Shop Local movement.
